You should know that it is possible to draft the Lasting Powers of Attorney online yourself, meaning you would only need to pay the registration fees.  Let’s say you do that and you send the documents off for registration together with your cheque.  If there is even the smallest mistake in the paperwork then your Lasting Powers of Attorney will be rejected by the Office of the Public Guardian.  You will be asked to submit revised documents and pay the registration fee again.  This could be costly if you are registering four documents and have to pay registration fees of £328 twice!
